No bonus play

I am very upset I purchased this game as the hints did not work and there was no bonus game. Not worth $6.99 and I want my money back. Waste of money

Big fish

I love it

They need a pro voice actor

I agree with another review, this sounds like someone’s friend or sister helped out at the last second for the main voice. It sounds very low budget for a decently expensive (as far as apps go) game. It also seems like they ran out of script ideas at the end. The game itself was interesting, but I wouldn’t endorse a purchase.

Отличная игра

Интересненько

Very good

I like the way they let you know if there is a special object in the rooms you enter, bring on more of this Detective, this is a really cool game!! Kitten!!

Dreamatorium

Fun

Unbearable voice-over

I love Artifex Mundi games but I’ve barely started and have had to turn the volume off because the woman doing the voice for the main character is HORRIBLE!!! All the other characters’ voices are believable but it sounds like they just grabbed a woman and had her read it instead of ACTING! I don’t know if I can finish this game with the sound on. Otherwise the game seems to be up to AM’s usual standards

$7 one afternoon

Seriously. One afternoon. If I could walk, I would have spent that on many other real experiences.

Voice

Voice over was SO bad I could not go on with it

Bad acting

So far I’m only playing the trial. It’s going great except for the main character that you are playing as is the worst voiceover acting I have ever heard. She sounds like a depressed, nasal, and tired. She needs to take a happy pill, blow her nose, and drink a few cups of coffee. Plus, she needs to take a course in English punctuation. Every sentence ends in a question whether it is an actual question or not. Really annoying. I know I can shut off the sound of the voiceovers, but I don’t mind the other characters. Well, I seem to like the trial so far. If it keeps my interest then I will keep my review the same at 4 stars. I deducted one because of the main character’s voiceover.

Good story line

I liked the story, but the game was too short. Voices a little stilted.

Not my favorite

I usually love Artifex Mundi games but this one was just so so. The girls voice made me cringe , the puzzles were boring for the most part , and there was so much back and forth. Graphics were decent but other than that it was just an average hog

Fun Game, but Terrible Voice Acting

The game was very fun to play & creative. Really liked it, but they need to redo the female voice over of the detective. Painfully, flat & dull. The other voices were fine.

The Dreamatorium of dr Magnus

Way to short

Awful narration

To be fair, it is my pet peeve when a game has bad voice-acting, and this may not bother other gamers, but I had to delete this one about 5 seconds in when I heard how apathetic and dull the voiceover was. This may very well be a great game if you don't care about voiceovers or usually play without sound.

Ok

It was just OK halfway through the game the hint button stopped working if you exited out you had to restart from where it stopped working. Don't think it's worth the price.

Could be a dream

Way too short, bonus play. Enjoyed the game everything worked like it was suppose to. The girl voiceover was terrible. Other than being too short of a game, it's okay.

Ok, narration is flat

Some of the same puzzles as other Artifex Mundi games. It's ok for the $2.99 but the narrator 'voice actor' is awful..just reading the script without any emotion which detracts from the experience.

Had potential

Surprised by good reviews. It was short and kind of on the lame side. Had no bonus chapter, which I would expect especially from a quick play game. Really hate mini games that are based on random luck and not skill. Voice over is so, so bad. Person sounds like she's falling asleep....

On the "to buy" list

Glad Artifex Mundi left Big Fish. No more worries about a good game having Big Fish Created glitches in its insane effort to get people to download their navigator app. Ya' had me at "hello". Just waiting for a sale. Have to say, though... I had to turn the VO off. The woman reading words off of a paper (she is NOT an actress) was distractingly awful. Ben Stein could emote more convincingly. "Oh? I'm a detective? My name is Detective Xanexia Valium? The newspaper is called Cognition? we get Cognition newspapers from vending machines in NY? Having my name written means I am published? None of the above were questions? (Yawn) Every thing I have said were all statements? I still read every line of dialogue as disjointed sentences with no inflection at all and always trail up at the end as though all statements and exclamation were blasé questions? Good morning? Help? This man is dead? Emergency?" Dreadful. Even worse then the teenage NoLo ghost. Once the VO is shut off it should seem like a game and not an example of how not to hire and cast voice over "actors".

Great game!!!

This game was really fun to play.. It's short but worth it... I saw the complaints about the detectives voice didn't think it bother me however, it was flat and annoying. Other than that it was a fun game.

Dreamtorium

Good storyline, great journal aided in solving a few mini puzzles, teleporting map, mixed HO games, and labeled inventory...overall this game kept me interested to the end. Keep em coming like this artifex mundi; I'll buy.

Dr Magnus

A cute little old school game. Unfortunately the Hint button is useless, so just plan on doing it all on your own. The voice-over of the female detective sounds like a teenager who got paid $1.50 for some summer pocket change. Just turn off the sound and you will enjoy the game more. It's a good thing the game was free or I would consider a Much lower review score.

Could be verter

I find that The hints don't work most of the time Thus it is not a good game

Enjoyable Game

Had fun with this game. Look forward to more like it.

Dreamatorium of Dr. Magnus 2 by LynxMinx

Artifex Mundi, wonderful game! I just wish it had been a collector's edition so that it was longer. Also I want to play more of your HOAG, but some are not available in the United States. Also BigFish isn't distributing your games, so I wasn't aware of this one and Slavic Fables until one of my reviewers, the amazing KimTwilight, recommended it to us. This game had EVERYTHING except length. The graphics were in the style of beautifully colored 1930's design. You had to collect the Eye of Horus in each scene, but no morphing objects, which is fine because I am not a big fan of collectibles. Settings could be customized. Loading was instantaneous between locations. You got to use a magic crystal amulet and a multi-tool. Inventory was labeled and there were plus items to assemble. You gave us an excellent teleport map, with marked tasks if so desired. There was a very helpful in-game journal, and objectives were updated on a regular basis. The HO scenes were of various types, and thus more interesting, with some embedded puzzles. I enjoyed the mini-games/puzzles a lot. There was a very good variety and they weren't only boring rotational types. The story was interesting and the game flowed beautifully! I also liked the fact that inventory was easy to use, because you could either drag the object and apply it, or click on it and then click on the spot. So much easier! I didn't experience any glitches. Dream Team Elite, especially Dracyy, you will love this game. Also you get a free trial first, which we don't seem to get from BigFish anymore. Reviewers, this was just a wonderful, relaxing and fun game to play. It wasn't as difficult as some of the games we do play, but still very enjoyable! Big shout-out to my amazing team. Dracyy and Kim, thank you so much for the advice you have given me as far as the issues I have been dealing with while playing. I am very touched that you are looking out for me, especially when it comes to my greatest phobia (rats, of which there were none in this game!) We need to get tougher on BigFish! No more trials and some very subpar games as of late! I appreciate that you guys play these games and do it not only for yourselves, but so that if a game isn't good others will know. You are very altruistic and incredible people! Lynxie sends you tons of 💋❤️😘!

Fun game!👏👏

Very fun game to play! Your a detective who stumbles upon a mysterious disappearance right before your eyes. Find hidden object in each scene. The only thing I would agree with other players is the length of the game was short. Perhap a part 3 will be lengthier. 😊

Five Star Worthy!!

Great game. Nice length. Hint button charges quick enough and hints are specific. I didn't have any glitches on an iPhone 5s. Keeps your attention. First person (you) speak in a monotone. That's the only thing I didn't like. Not worth losing any points though.

Loved it, but...

This was a great game, but way too short, so only 4 stars.

I'm Having a Pleasant Dream! Well Done!

You are a detective who is investigating the disappearance of a young lady, Lara King. Her disappearance may be connected to a secret project that her friend, Dr. Magnus, is working on. Furthermore, an evil, ghastly hooded figure is threatening that you stop your interference. The graphics are beautiful, crisp and clear; and the artwork uses a palette of brighter colors with shades of pink, green and purple. There are four modes of difficulty including the option to customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items will require assembly. The map will teleport you; and in custom mode, it will indicate available actions. There is a journal to record story progression, hold clues to solve puzzles, and update your objectives. The HOS are varied, such as finding parts of items to complete a whole, as well as "find and use." The puzzles are simple but fun; one type is to place fuses in the correct spots so the sums of connected parts match its values. Transition between scenes has been smooth, and you have directional arrows with labeled locations. You collect eye symbols in the locations, and your eye indicator is to the left of the inventory bar. The only cons are that there is no back button so you can unintentionally be taken back a scene. Also, the voice of the detective is very monotone; she could use a little caffeine. There is not a bonus chapter and no extras, but it's not a collectors edition so we can't complain! The game is also short - but sweet. I'm glad I got this for the discounted price, and I enjoyed it!

Dreamatorium 2

Ok game, nothing really earth-shattering. I liked the christmas series much better. But, i didn't have any problems playing , never froze or crashed and the map is always a welcome feature.

Good and not expensive

Really good graphics

Super short!!

It was a lot of fun but it was easily one of the shortest HO adventure games I've ever played. And it didn't even have a bonus chapter! Plus the lead female character could not act her way out of a paper bag. But I knew within five minutes of playing it that I would be buying!

Great game

Love all their games.....just wish they were a little longer. Looking forward to the next one.

Good Game!

Really enjoying this game so far. Nice transporting map. Interesting storyline and fun hidden object scenes and puzzles. Character voices always nice to have! Lots to do with great variety. Looking forward to more of your hidden object/adventure games. Thank You, KdBoots
